Chapter 19 College Sports Megainc. vs Undergraduate Education
This chapter starts off by using quotes where they ask why the president of the schools house is so big but then why is the coaches house even bigger. This presents the problem of the chapter of college sports vs. undergraduate education. The authors questionnaire statement was that students schools focus more on athletics than education at big schools but some students disagree with this. They continue to use student interviews who present this problem all the same saying that these big name schools care more about their athletics than their undergraduate education. This has seemed to be a problem that has been building up throughout the course of the book. Administrators of schools will not admit what students do though. They say that academics is more important than the athletics of the school.
