Chapter 16 Party Round the Team
This chapter starts off by talking about how people think that beer companies should no longer be allowed to advertise at collegiate events and how they use the collegiate events as ways to broadcast their product on TV. They then go on to talk about how schools do not allow beer to be sold inside their stadiums or arenas. But this fight is never ending because these schools wanna play in the big NFL stadiums for bowl games or the final four where there is beer advertising at these stadiums and many students follow their teams to these venues and are either of age or underage. They use Iowa as an example of a school that is completely trying to rid their campus of alcohol by telling their frats to end their drinking and so on. This was Iowa University. The problem Iowa had to deal with was how many places sold liquor in the area surrounding the campus. The chapter continues to talk about schools fight and how they want to end drinking on campus and at intercollegiate events but at the same time realizing this is much harder.
